HSE PLAN

In 2008, we adopted a HSE (Health, Safety and Environmental) Plan offering guidance and providing for proper and effective management of the company assets and personnel with respect to marine safety, security and environmental protection. Our commitment to the HSE program, in addition to seeking out best practices and procedures, has set a course enabling us to continue to strive for better, safer, more secure marine practices and preventive measures protecting our people and our environment.

ISNETWORLD AND AVETTA AUDITING

Our commitment to safety and best management practice is evident through our involvement and membership in ISNetworld and Avetta Auditing. ISNetworld and Avetta are two of the lead contractor verification sites that evaluate all aspects of contractors’ Environmental, Health and Safety Programs for larger contracting clients. Avetta ensures that suppliers are prequalified to work in a safe and sustainable manner. ISNetworld is very similar in structure, but they use different grading systems. Matthews Brothers holds very similar ratings in both qualifying sites. In each of the two sites Matthews Brothers is in good standing reflecting a strong safety culture and program.

RAVS® Plus is a safety compliance standard that stands for “Review and Verification Services”. This standard is used by ISNetworld® as a way to verify everything from insurance documentation, safety protocol development and the effectiveness of  safety programs.

Matthews Brothers Dredging, LLC, a leading provider in dredging services, has been awarded the “RAVS Plus” designation from ISNetworld, a global leader in contractor and supplier management. The designation is a testament to our commitment to the health and safety of our employees as well as implementing environmental, health and safety programs throughout our organization.

Matthews Brothers Dredging, LLC is honored to have received this award as the RAVS Plus designation is given to only a very small percentage of the over 75,000 ISNetworld participants worldwide.

This recognition is a testament to the hard work and dedication of our EHS Department. It is a way we have differentiated ourselves to existing and potential clients and demonstrates our commitment to providing the highest level of service.

The RAVS Plus program is a voluntary program that takes the evaluation much further than meeting basic requirements, auditing several aspects of Matthews Brothers Dredging, LLC culture to ensure we have fully implemented what we have committed to on paper.

In addition to a review of the written regulatory programs, our EHS team participated in an extensive interview process on OSHA regulations, policies, emergency procedures and how we have created a company safety culture. Our employees were sent safety surveys and evaluations that had questioning on OSHA regulations, company safety policies and procedures. It is designed to understand Matthews Brothers Dredging, LLC Environmental, Health & Safety culture, outline our training programs and assess the effectiveness of our communications with our employees.

We are proud to have achieved this designation and look forward to continuing to provide an unwavering commitment to our Environmental, Health & Safety programs.
